Client was being sold by parent company and then became in-play to be acquired by a global multinational company. Computer domain had to change and internal infrastructure.
For a major retail petroleum company completed server domain migration ahead of schedule and under budget (in preparation of company separation) compromising over 150 servers in multiple data centers. This was for multiple legacy back office accounting systems, supporting approximately 3,900 retail gas stations. Completed one month ahead of plan and under budget.
- Created plan segmenting migration effort by environment: DEV, QA, UAT, PROD for four back-office and product placement systems.
- In collaboration with development teams created migration checklist, test plan for each environment, and system topology and interface diagrams. Collaborated with three separate development teams and multiple infrastructure teams.
- Executed domain migrations over a five-month period into a new datacenter (involving petabytes of data) one month ahead of schedule.
- Allowed development teams to solely focus on new features and retiring one of the back-office accounting systems.
